The ZIP Check plug-in allows checking whether the ZIP code specified in a customer account contacts corresponds to the format accepted in the customer country of residence specified in his/her account.
For the fresh Parallels Business Automation - Standard installation, the ZIP Check plug-in contains the default list of ZIP codes patterns in the form of Perl regular expressions. A regular expression is a sequence of symbols and meta symbols that define a text (which digits and letters compose a text, how many symbols and in what order compose a text, etc). In this case, regular expressions define the format of a ZIP code accepted in a given country and can contain both the special symbols and alphanumerical data set explicitly.
The country-ZIP patterns list contains only countries, where the standard ZIP code format is accepted and used. It is not possible to add a new country to a list.
You can edit ZIP code patterns for any country in the list, delete the pair country - ZIP pattern, add new ZIP patterns for countries included in the list, define several ZIP patterns for the same country, enable or disable (use or do not use in checking rules) ZIP patterns. New ZIP patterns must be entered in the form of regular expressions.
Note: If you create several ZIP patterns for the same country and enable them all (or at least more than one of them), then for an actual ZIP code to pass the check it will be necessary that a ZIP code match all ZIP patterns enabled for a given country. In this case, if a ZIP code does not match at least one pattern, the plug-in will produce the fraud alert.
To add a new ZIP code pattern to the list:
Repeat the steps described above to add more patterns to the black list.
To remove or enable/disable a ZIP code pattern:
